Pochmurna wycieczka po Pradze z aparatem, który już dawno temu sprawiał mi wiele radości. Jednak najważniejszą jego cechą możliwość nauki fotografii analogowej od podstaw. Bohaterem wycieczki i tematem pierwszego postu (http://gajdamarcin.blogspot.com/2011/06/pierwsze-kroki-90.html) jest CMENA!

Niestety dostęp w dzisiejszych czasach do materiałów światłoczułych oraz laboratoriów, które wywołują błony czarno białe jest praktycznie żaden. Zdecydowałem się więc na najtańszy film barwny marki Rossmann oraz usługę wywołania w tej samej sieci.

Zespół Pałacowo-Parkowy / Palace and Park complex

W 1678 roku w wiosce Krowiarki został wzniesiony zamek z drewna, którego właścicielem była rodzina Beess. W 1690 roku zamek przejął Leopold Paczyński. Od 1800 roku właścicielem drewnianego zamku został Graf Strachwitz.

W 1826 roku Ernest Joachim Strachwitz na miejscu poprzedniego drewnianego pałacu wzniósł nowy, tym razem murowany. W latach 1852-77 dokonał kolejnej przebudowy zamku oraz powstał park okalający pałac. Mikołaj Strachwitz wznowił budowlę w 1846 roku w stylu neogotyckim. W 1842 roku Karol Strachwitz sprzedał wieś rodzinie Gaszynów, Hansowi II von Gaszyn.

15 maja 1856 roku Hugo II Henckel von Donnersmarck poślubił Wandę von Gaschin, a pałac od tej chwili stał się własnością rodu Henckel von Donnersmarck. W 1892 roku pożar trawi północną, drewnianą część pałacu, która zostaje odbudowana i rozszerzone w 1898 roku w stylu secesyjnym. Od 1911 roku zamieszkiwał tutaj Edgar 1. Graf von Henckel-Gaschin, a od 1939 był on własnością Hansa 2. Grafa von Henckel-Gaschin, który w marcu 1945 roku uciekł na rowerze przed wojskami Armii Czerwonej.

Przetrwał on wojnę w stanie nienaruszonym. Była tutaj Szkoła Aktywu Politycznego, a od 1947 roku Państwowy dom Dziecka i przedszkole. Od 1963 roku pałac przejął Szpital Rehabilitacyjno-Ortopedyczny. W 1970 roku szpital opuścił pałac wraz z jego cennym wyposażeniem i rozpoczął się okres niszczenia.Po prywatyzacji w latach dziewięćdziesiątych nowy właściciel nie przeprowadził remontu ani nie zabezpieczył obiektu.

Powierzchnia pałacu wynosi około 4 000 metrów kwadratowych Starsza część pałacu zbudowana została w stylu neorenesansowym i neobarokowym,  która została tylko otynkowana na czerwono, aby czarować swoim  wyglądem, natomiast nowa, całkowicie murowana w stylu secesyjnym.  Starsza część zbudowana na planie prostokąta z ryzalitami na osiach, od frontu ryzalit wydatny, od strony parku ryzalit zamknięty trójbocznie, ma jedno piętro, natomiast nowa dwa.

W narożnikach południowo-wschodnim i północno-zachodnim znajdują się kwadratowe wieże, które mają hełmy namiotowe, natomiast w pozostałych można dostrzec wieżyczki cylindryczne zwieńczone hełmami stożkowymi. Wieże czworoboczne podzielone są przez gzymsy konsolkowe, a w górnej części wieży znajdują się półkoliste okna.

Ryzalit frontowy wieńczy szczyt ze spływami i niszami, a nad nim znajduje się najwyższa neobarokowa wieża. Czworoboczna wieża, której hełm przechodzi w ośmiobok ma dwie latarnie.

Impreza ma na celu promowanie szeroko pojętej muzyki elektronicznej oraz  sztuki cyfrowej. Jest zupełnie bezdochodowa i powstała z inicjatywy  DeeJay'i oraz artystów, którzy chcieliby zaprezentować pewną alternatywę  dla mieszkańców Opola, nie potrafiących odnaleźć swojego miejsca w  żadnym z innych, opolskich klubów.

Miejscem odbywania się imprezy jest Klub Inicjatyw Niezależnych Fabryka - opuszczona lakiernia "udekorowana" przewodami  wentylacyjnymi, dawno już nie spełniającymi swojej funkcji, ścianami  obdartymi z farby, wydeptanym dywanem oraz prostymi meblami z odzysku.  Surowy klimat, zupełnie neutralny lecz mocno oddziaływujący na  wyobraźnię wpływa na to, że czujesz się tam bardzo swobodnie.  Uzupełnieniem tego miejsca będzia muzyka elektroniczna z pogranicza  house/tech-house/minimal/techno oraz prezentowane instalacje multimedialne, illuminacje świetlne lub/i wystawy.

Początki zespołu sięgają Grudnia 2009 roku. Utworzyli go Paweł Kinder  oraz Daniel Bugla, którzy swoimi pomysłami nadali kierunek rozwoju  przedsięwzięcia. Wtedy to pojawiają się pierwsze utwory a wraz z nimi do  projektu dołączają nowi ludzie. W kwietniu zespół przyjmuje nazwę  Bongostan, a wraz z jej nadaniem pojawia się demo zawierające 4 utwory.  Zespół przechodzi od tego momentu wiele zmian składu.        Sierpień 2010 roku jest to moment, w którym krystalizuje się skład  zespołu co skutkuje podjęciem decyzji o nagraniu debiutanckiej płyty  oraz pospolitym ruszeniem w temacie koncertów, których w przeciągu  niespełna 4 miesięcy zespół zagrał blisko 30. W październiku 2010 roku  ruszają nagrania długo grającej płyty, zmieniają one radykalnie  charakter dotychczasowych płodów muzycznych. Marzec 2011 roku okazuje  się być nie lada przełomem. Wtedy też Bongostan startuje na Zimowej  Giełdzie Piosenki w Opolu i zostaje uhonorowany nagrodami: zaproszeniem  do występu Piastonaliach 2011 oraz zagraniem utworu  "Nie muszę musieć"  VooVoo na jednej scenie wraz Wojciechem Waglewskim, Mateuszem  Pospieszalskim i resztą składu VooVoo podczas ich koncertu. Niedługo po  tym Bongostan daje radiowy koncert live w Polskie Radio Opole w tym  czasie do zespołu dołączyła Kinga Berkowicz nadając kobiecą dłonią  ogłady męskiej ośmio osobowej załodze. Nie próżnując Bongo ekipa  skończyła już pracę nad debiutanckim krążkiem czeka na jej obróbkę  studyjną (planowane otrzymanie materiału koniec czerwca), przygotowuje  już materiał na drugi album i koncertuje po całej Polsce.

Chris Coleman

Christopher R. Coleman has been playing drums since the ripe old  age of 2, sitting on his uncle's knee in church. He traveled with his  father and uncles who performed together in a gospel ensemble. In his  youth he practiced relentlessly with the aim of making it big as a  drummer. In Junior high school he earned numerous awards in band  competitions, including 1st place for instrumental soloist three years  running. 

He also took top honors in his hometown "Music  Appreciation Awards" at the age of 14, and began traveling throughout  the country with several gospel groups including Marvin Winans, Edwin  Hawkins, and Vanessa Bell Armstrong - as well as performing with five  jazz/variety/show bands. 

In 1999, Chris graduated with honors from the  Drummer's Collective. He was offered a scholarship to Berklee School of  Music, was accepted into Manhattan School of Music, and received a  recommendation from Ed Soph to attend North Texas State. He opted  instead to return to his hometown of Saginaw, Michigan to start  full-time ministry and ATW Global. He moved briefly to Cleveland to join  the instructional staff at Christian Music Academy.

December 8, 2001, Chris was honored to win 1st  place in the National Drum Competition sponsored by Guitar Center, which  hosted 30,000+ drummers. He then came to Atlanta to study Bass guitar  at AIM, where he was pleased to accept a position teaching drums. In  addition to his teaching, Chris keeps a busy schedule touring. He has  toured with Pastor Creflo A. Dollar Ministries throughout the country  since June 2002, and has traveled to over 40 cities in 3 countries with  praise and worship band "Israel and New Breed" since September 2003. 

Chris has participated in several major gospel  recordings, including Bishop Eddie Long, William Murphy Ministries and  others. He plans to record with his band, "The Paradigm" in the very  near future. Things have been on the up & up as of June 2006. Chris  is now playing for R&B artist Rachelle Ferrell, as well as touring,  promoting, & performing with his band. 

Chris also participated in the 2005 & 2006  "Drummers 4 Jesus" events. He is recognized in the Modern Drummer Mag  for the Sept'05' & June'06' issues. 

2007 was ever exploding for Chris. He is on tour full time with "Chaka Kahn", as well as Rachelle Ferrell. 

in 2010 Chris appeared with big success at the Modern Drummer Festival and PASIC.

Dave Lombardo & PHILM

It's  understandable to assume that a side-project that features a member of  Slayer will probably sound similar to the extreme metal sound that the  group helped trail-blaze. But upon hearing the musical direction that  Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo has embraced with his new band, PHILM, fans  are certainly in for a surprise. "When people hear about my involvement  in PHILM, they automatically assume that  it will compare to Slayer's sound," explains Lombardo. "They couldn't  be more different. PHILM's sound is almost bi-polar - very unexpected of  something that I would be so passionate about, and be a part of. I have  scaled down my drum set to a four-piece, reminiscent to the drummers of  the late 60's that influenced me. Each song is unique in itself, I like  to refer to it as 'rhythmic emotion.' It's almost like taking all the  heavy songs of the 60's and bringing that era to a modern plateau, then  blending them with the modern trance and psychedelic sounds of today.  When I think of PHILM, that's where I go."

Joining Lombardo in  PHILM is bassist Pancho Tomaselli (a long-time member of funk rockers,  War) and singer/guitarist Gerry Nestler (who fronts prog metallists,  Civil Defiance).  "The band's sound is channeled through the many  different influences of drum & bass, expressionism, and underground,  that ranges via ancient and indigenous to street," adds Nestler. "There  are many different things that Dave and I have been into that have  contributed to the vision of PHILM.  Pancho’s highly skilled bass  playing, chordal color and shape have helped expand the overall sound  instrumentation and groove. Dave’s drumming goes without comparison,  except that it might be said, quote Pancho, 'It’s like playing with the  seven (not four) horses of the Apocalypse behind you.' The music is  heavy but sensitive, powerful and atmospheric. The band is a dark  landscape at times where glimpses of light are held within the shadows."  Meanwhile, Tomaselli has come up with a description he likes to use for  PHILM's sound. "PHILM's sound is pure and balanced. Hard to describe  but unique. I would call it 'novo punk.' We also want to bring the power  trio back to life."

PHILM has already played out live, and  will continue to do so, in order to further hone the group's direction  and approach. And Lombardo explains what fans can expect from the live  PHILM experience. "PHILM shifts musically - it can be very intense at  times, and then passive and soft, trans-like, then the rhythm shifts and  swings as the music changes and molds itself into something people can  dance to or bang their head to. I've seen the audience do both at our  shows! In Slayer, I focus strictly on the guitar playing. In PHILM, I'm  thinking of the power trio. I'm focusing on the bass lines, and the  guitars become more of a backdrop or texture of the songs." Tomaselli  adds, "Fans can expect a tsunami of sound at every show...that is what  we do."

As far as PHILM's future plans, the trio is in talks  with potential labels, management, and booking agents, which will  undoubtedly lead to future additional performances and a projected  album. As Lombardo says, "We look forward to recording and going on  tour, and sharing this with the masses of open minds!"

When a powerhouse arrives on the scene, be it in the fields of sport,  literature, or music, what initially attracts are the artifacts of  talent, not talent itself. As consumers we are wowed by prowess, by  technique, by human gifts that can appear superhuman when present in a  Michael Jordan, a Garcia Marquez or a Herbie Hancock. But as the  powerhouse evolves his true nature is revealed, and it's never a simple  display of technique, but rather an amalgam of inspiration, innate gift  and extreme hard work. 

Since he arrived in New York City in the late 1990s, Antonio Sanchez has  been one of those powerhouses to watch and remember. Extracting an  incredible array of colors from the drums, Sanchez defies nature with  extraordinary dynamic shifts, subtle colorations, metric  super-impositions, and streamlined clave patterns. But as heard  initially with pianist Danilo Perez and most recently on his own Live In  New York At Jazz Standard, Sanchez not only dazzles with herculean  technique, but more importantly, he swings -- and in the old school  sense of the word.  Through recordings such as Chick Corea's Dr. Joe,   Michael Brecker's Wide Angles, Gary Burton's Quartet Live, Avishai  Cohen's Unity, Miguel Zenon's Jibaro, Donny McCaslin's In Pursuit, and  Pat Metheny's Speaking Of Now, The Way Up, and Day Trip, Sanchez's  brilliant evolution has become evident to all. Gary Burton's new album  features Antonio's drumming as well as his composing skills on the title  track, "Common Ground."

Migration, Sanchez's 2007 Cam Jazz debut as a leader, topped many  critics' year end polls, the album's outstanding musicianship (featuring  Chick Corea and Metheny) and memorable melodies making it both  technically engrossing and easily enjoyable. A Magna Cum Laude Berklee  School of Music graduate in Jazz Studies, a former student at the New  England Conservatory of Music and an alumni of Mexico's prestigious  National Conservatory (where he majored in classical piano and  composition), Sanchez thoroughly understands complex harmony and  compositional structure, which when coupled to his love of music from  all over the world produces jazz that satisfies on multiple levels.

"Antonio Sanchez, the drummer and composer," notes The New York Times'  Nate Chinen, "compresses many of the strategies from the last 40 years  of small-group jazz into each performance, while letting some of today's  best soloists tear it up. [His drumming is] a tumbling overspill,  deceptive in its suggestion of abandon."

Sanchez's latest, Live In New York At Jazz Standard (Cam Jazz), looses  the reins on his drumming and composing skills.  Accompanied by David  Sanchez (tenor), Miguel Zenon (alto) and Scott Colley (upright bass),  the bristling double CD set (recorded in October, 2008) documents a band  on fire, engaging in the kind of heated interplay that only occurs in  longstanding musical relationships.

One of these relationships is with acclaimed guitarist and composer, Pat  Metheny. "The thing that impressed me the most when I first heard  Antonio with Danilo Perez," Metheny recalls, "was how soft he could play  and still keep it absolutely burning. My first impression was that he  was an introspective drummer, but only a few minutes later it sounded  like Danilo had added three percussionists to the band – and it was all  Antonio!  And that was burning too.  Antonio's maturity, his musical  vision, and his amazing aptitude to see the whole musical picture that's  happening beyond the drum set itself is tremendous.  His presence in  the group represents one of the most significant changes in the band's  28 year history."

A three time Grammy Award winner, Antonio Sanchez was born in Mexico  City on November 1st, 1971, the grandson of Mexican film star Ignacio  Lopez Tarso.  Sanchez became interested in the drums at the age of five,  playing along to the records of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Police  and Rush. His professional career began in his early teens with a  variety of local rock bands.  After school, Sanchez pursued a degree in  classical piano at Mexico's National Conservatory.  Leaving Mexico City  to enroll at Berklee in 1993, he graduated with honors and was the  recipient of several scholarships, most notably the Buddy Rich Memorial  Scholarship and the Zildjian Award. The New England Conservatory of  Music awarded him another one to pursue a Masters in Jazz Improvisation.

While still at the Conservatory in 1997, his instructor, Danilo Perez,  recommended him to Paquito D'Rivera for Dizzy Gillespie's United Nations  Orchestra.  Later that same year, Sanchez joined Perez's acoustic trio;  which led to intense international touring and the recording of the  Grammy nominated Motherland. Years later Sanchez would experience his  first encounter with Pat Metheny, who eventually invited him to join his  group.  Sanchez's debut with Metheny on 2002's Speaking of Now led to a  Grammy Award in the "Best Contemporary Jazz Album" category.  The Way  Up followed in January 2005.  Sanchez is a regular member of Metheny's  quartets and trios, the latter including bassist Christian McBride on  the 2008 CD, Day Trip which also got a nomination in 2009. 

Today, Sanchez is one of the most in-demand drummers on the  international jazz scene, regularly recording and touring alongside  Chick Corea, Gary Burton, Kenny Werner, Charlie Haden, Dee Dee  Bridgewater, Dianne Reeves, and Toots Thielmans.  He has collaborated  with the new generation of players that includes Joshua Redman, Chris  Potter, John Patitucci, David Sanchez, Marcus Roberts, Avishai Cohen,  Miguel Zenon, Scott Colley, Dave Samuels, Luciana Souza, Billy Childs,  and Claudia Acuña, to name a few.

A popular clinician, Sanchez has taught all over the world.  His first  instructional DVD, as part of Hudson Music's Music Master Series, was  released in 2008.  Sanchez has performed at the most prestigious drum  festivals worldwide, including the Modern Drummer Festival Weekend,  Zildjian Day, and Montreal Drum Festival.  Sanchez has been a featured  cover artist on such international publications as Modern Drummer (USA),  Musico Pro (USA), Percussioni (Italy), and Drums & Percussion  (Germany).

"With Antonio at the helm," the late Michael Brecker noted, "there's  never any guesswork about the time. Antonio has an individual, clear  sound on the drums, blending superbly in any live or studio situation.   He can improvise in the moment, so I love playing duets with him.  It  feels like he's in my head!  Antonio has ferocious technique, but he  never uses it superfluously or mechanically.  He brings his own  personality to every musical genre.  His warmth and sublime musicality  inspires trust, which is the most important ingredient for making truly  spontaneous music."

Antonio is endorsed by Yamaha Drums, Zildjian Cymbals and Sticks  (Antonio's Signature model), Remo Drumheads and LP Percussion (which  carries Antonio's Signature Percussion Kit).

Między szpachlowaniem a gipsowaniem w końcu znalazłem chwile na odkurzenie zabawki \o/ boje się, że kolejnym razem będę miał taką możliwość znowu za miesiąc - remonty i praca od pon do sob wykańczają człowieka...

Z zegarkiem w ręku byłem 10min na tej wieży wliczając w to wejście i zejście. Festyny kościelne to jednak kiepski moment na zdjęcia miejsc, udostępnianych na terenie parafii pod okiem śpieszących się kleryków <blee>.
